Vacation Style Inspiration

Traveling is by far my favorite thing to do. So having the opportunity to go to Cozumel, Mexico was a dream come true! After all, who doesn't love a tropical vacation? When I started planning this trip, naturally the first thing that came to mind was "what am I going to wear?" So I gave myself a budget of $150 and I immediately starting surfing the web and looking through a few of my favorite magazines (Elle, Vogue, and InStyle just to name a few) for inspiration. I personally prefer to have a few outfit options in mind when I go shopping that way I know what I'm looking for and I don't get too distracted. Below I've given the inside scoop on where I found each outfit while managing to stay under $150. Hopefully these looks will inspire your next vacation outfit.

The fist look is my favorite! I happened to get lucky and walked in to Express a few weeks ago when they were having a sale and snagged this gorgeous maxi skirt ($23) and white crop top ($28). This look is so easy to pull off and it's perfect for any beach vacation. I wore it to the beach, on a private tequila tour and to see the Mayan Ruins; and I was so comfortable the entire time.

I LOVE a cute 1-piece swimsuit. The key to finding a trendy 1-piece without looking like you're in the 50+ club is to get one with flattering cutouts that look good on your figure. I found this one at Forever 21 ($20) and the coverup is from LOFT ($28). A cute coverup tends to come in handy if you plan on eating a lot during your vacation.

Now by outfit number 3 I was running out of money so I bought these fabulous gladiator sandals ($24) that I found at Rue 21 and paired it with some cute shorts and a top that I pulled out of my closet. Finding new ways to refresh old looks is one of my favorite things to do because it saves time and money!
