I was fortunate enough to be invited to Jenny Packham's runway show at Merecedes-Benz Fashion Week. The funny thing is, a month ago I didn't even know who Jenny Packham was. Well let me just say, getting the inside scoop on her collection took my style status to the next level! Jenny Packham is one of the UK's most successful brands that have graced red carpets all of the world. Her designs have been worn by some of the most iconic women including: Catherine Zeta Jones, Angelina Jolie, Amy Adams, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Diane Kruger, Dita von Teese, Kate Hudson, Oscar winner Adele Aitkins and The Duchess of Cambridge - Kate Middleton.
Watching this runway show was such an amazing experience. I got to the show really late (because I got lost on the train) and walked in literally right before the show started. I was standing in the back corner of the room on my tip toes trying to get a glimpse at all of the action when a photographer standing directly in front of the runway invited me to squeeze in with all of the press. He helped me to fight my way through and I ended up standing directly in front of the runway. How AMA-zing is that?! I took awesome videos and captured some great footage. Jenny Packham's entire collection was absolutely stunning. Selecting my favorite picks for this blog was extremely difficult. The spring 2014 collection consisted of gorgeous long flowy gowns beautifully draped with lace. The collection reminded me of Kate Winslet's wardrobe in Titanic which is one of my all time favorite movies. Her collection is very whimsical and it screams royalty.
Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, I ran into none other than Giuliana Rancic after the Jenny Packham show. Giuliana is one of my career and style icons. I was so excited to meet her! I asked her for a photo and she politely agreed. She was extremely sweet and down to earth. That completed my first day of fashion week.
